9.SPARKS FLY: There's no mistaking the chemistry between Elvis and Ann-Margret, his costar in 1964's Viva Las Vegas!
Of her relationship with Elvis, Ann-Margret wrote in her 1995 autobiography, My Story: "It was fun, joy, admiration and love in its purest form," but "both of us knew that no matter how much we loved each other, we weren't going to last." For one thing, Priscilla was back home at Graceland, though she and Elvis were not yet married. Still, that didn't stop him from giving Ann-Margret a pink, heart-shaped bed, PEOPLE noted in August 1997.
Elvis dated a number of starlets throughout the years, including Connie Stevens (who called him "the best kisser ever"), Natalie Wood and, in the early '70s, a young Cybill Shepherd. "I knew this was a fellow who could break your heart," Stevens said at the time.
